The Delaners - Take It To Your
Place / Sweet Jar Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio One) |
| Formed in London during mid 2002, The
Delaner's sound is inspired by the raw rock n roll of bands like The Stooges
combined with an up-beat, highly danceable rhythmic backbone. Vocalists
Ross and Pete have a definitive talent for melodic hooklines and soaring
choruses, and their incendiary live shows have drawn comparisons with The
White Stripes, The Datsuns and The Faces amongst others. Now relocated to
the Medway area - currently a hotbed of musical talent, The Delaners are
one of the first bands to sign to the new Tap N Tin record label, based
from the successful Chatham venue of the same name.
‘Take it To Your Place’ is destined to take indie-rock dancefloors and house parties alike by storm, clocking in at under 3 minutes, with a classic pop-punk structure and Stranglers-esque vocal and organ lines. ‘Sweet Jar’ ups the tempo with a sub-Motorhead riff and staccato chorus that pounds its way into your skull and refuses to let go. The Delaners are currently lining up UK tour dates in early 2005 tied in with the release of their debut single, while Tap N Tin records have a host of new guitar-based talent and some storming live performers waiting in the wings. |
